The Board of Directors of Banki Kuu SACCO will continuously develop products that will address the needs of our Members. In the last Annual General Meeting held on March 17, 2012, it was proposed that the Society seek ways to enable the members acquire real estate properties such as land and or houses. The Board embarked on this initiative and has developed a scheme dubbed “Land and Housing Scheme”.   

 In the Board meeting of June 21, 2012, the Board adopted the following terms for operation of this scheme.

Under this scheme, the Society will look for suitable Land or Housing Development anywhere in the country and invite interested members to participate in its purchase.  The Board will negotiate with the vendors and settle at a fair price.  

 

Note that subscription to this Scheme shall be open to all Members of the Sacco!

One must have been a member of the scheme for minimum of at least Six months to qualify

Land and Property Allocation Basis

First come first served for qualifying Members

 

Payment Terms: A member may take a loan from any of the Society’s schemes to finance acquisition the Land and Property under this scheme. In this case the proceeds of the loan would be disbursed directly to the Vendor and Member given a Letter of Allotment. 

The objective of requiring minimum savings build up of up to KES 100,000 is to give the Board assurance of commitment by the respective members to the scheme and will give the Board impetus to look for property and undertake due diligence before announcing to the members.

Banki Kuu Housing Co-operative has identified an attractive property for members acquisition located at Kitengela Acacia area. This property is a 2 acre parcel to be subdivided into 14 plots of 1/8 (50x100).

Each plot will retail at a price of Kes 950,000 exclusive of title processing cost.We therefore encourage members to subscribe to these limited plots and take advantage of this new offer.
